As veterans of the DC swamp and masters of the fine art of Parse the Farce, they bring their cynically idealistic and decidedly reality-based approach to politics, policy and popular culture to this wide-ranging, no holds barred talk fest.

LAST WEEK ON THE SHOW WE BROKE THE NEWS THAT FRANCE HAD FALLEN, that the Hammer and Sickle were now flying from the Eifel Tower. Ok, so Paris wasn't actually burning, though last Sunday's election in France marked the first time since 1981 that a Socialist has won the Presidency, giving hope to us all for an eventual President Bernie Sanders. But Mr. Hollande's Opus sent shockwaves through Europe causing financial markets and the Euro to plummet on news that Sarkozy's successor was inclined to do things like tax the rich, hire more teachers, and other revolutionary-type commie claptrap. And Old Europe's foreign policy has been thrown into chaos as well, as the age of "Merkozy", the Sarkozy/Merkel alliance that has been at the heart of Europe's policies now lies in pieces. But come what may on the Continent, one thing is certain - France's new First Lady is no Carla Bruni!

As they stand over the smoking crater that was once the Republic of France, your hosts, Downtown and Eddie, have their Freedom Fries ready in their battle against the Randriods, Palindrones, Pizza Men and other assorted crazies infesting our body politic.
